Lets Talk About Touch
Touch is a sense that allows us to interact with the world and governs many aspects of our lives. I believe we have 8 essential needs for touch. Touch is not just physical, but it is emotional.
Many people struggle with touch deprivation and don’t even know it, not realizing that just because something is common, doesn’t mean it’s healthy. There is much stigma around touch and a lot of that goes unnoticed.
In the western world, we tend to oversexualize touch, not realizing that many of our basic needs that precede sex are foundational to co-creating authentic power.
We will have opportunities to diversify our portfolio to touch and also reclaim our innocence to touch. We will open up the floor to Q&A and some touch exercises to help us become more aware of what some of the missing touches are in our lives and how to heal our relationship to touch. Doing so not only helps us individually, but it also helps the collective to shift into a new paradigm of deep authentic connection.
Bring a friend, acquaintance, a family member or romantic partner. You are encouraged to journal and write down any questions you may have.
We will start with intention setting, a brief meditation and breathwork exercise, with a touch of aromatherapy and ginger tea.
