MERCURY RETROGRADE IN GEMINI ♒️ 💫✨ 5/29 – 6/22 2021

Mercury, planet of the mind, communications, connections, information exchange and travel, will be retrograde in it’s home air sign of Gemini from May 29th (stationing Rx at 24°43 Gemini) – June 22nd (stationing direct at 16°08 Gemini). 


This retrograde promises to be active and pure as Mercury is in it’s lively home sign of Gemini which has many of the same significations as the planet – moving around, exchanging information, communications, etc. Many other astrologers will write about the details of the season: how Mercury, Venus and the Sun moving through Gemini will square Jupiter and Neptune lending a misty, foggy and potentially less clear vibe to the season, but will not be without support (that trine from Saturn acts like a cosmic assist). They’ll also write about how it’s eclipse season on the Sagittarius-Gemini axis creating BIG SHIFTS in these areas of your chart, and how June 14th will perfect the 2nd of 3 Saturn-Uranus squares – the major aspect of the year which could bring some instability in the collective and clash between the themes of freedom and structure/authority. 1) Be extra thoughtful about your communications during this period. Thinking, writing and speech are affected by this energy and it’s easier than usual to put your foot in your mouth, misspeak, misunderstand something, send that text or email to the wrong person, etc.
2) Take extra care with vehicles and travels. ✨🚙✨

4) Revisit unfinished business and projects. See the worthy ones through to completion!

The Universe is asking us to revisit unfinished business, so initiating new things – especially regarding writing, speaking, contracts, relationships or travel – basically, all communications – may feel like swimming against the current. If you must start something new, leave yourself as much room as possible for adjustment as things often unfold differently than we plan, and will need to be renegotiated or redone later.
  2. Make major new purchases, especially of electronics or vehicles.
  3. Plan important travels to new places if possible.


This is an ideal time to retrieve, review, restore, resolve unfinished ideas, projects, relationships or endeavours that have fallen by the wayside.
