Types of bodywork we offer

Massage

Massage is the practice of rubbing and kneading the body using the hands. During a massage, a massage therapist will apply gentle (Swedish Massage) or strong (Deep Tissue Massage) pressure  to the muscles and joints of the body to ease pain and tension. A massage therapist is a person trained in giving massages. Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. With their touch, therapists relieve pain, help heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.

Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India. The ultimate goal of practicing yoga is to attain tranquility in the mind and spirit, and making this goal achievable by means of yoga poses and meditation. It is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various positions in order to become more fit or flexible, to improve your breathing, and to relax your mind. We offer classes for all levels and our Instructors are happy to offer modifications.

Fitness

Fitness is very important for good health. Besides feeling better mentally, exercising can help protect you from heart disease, stroke, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure; and it can make you look younger, increase and maintain bone density, improve the quality of your life, and may keep you from getting sick. Each class or private session will be a full body workout.

Nutrition

Nutrition is a critical part of health and development. Better nutrition is related to improved infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity. Healthy children learn better. Nutrition is about eating a healthy and balanced diet. Food and drink provide the energy and nutrients you need to be healthy.
